| 1 καὶ ἀνέβη Μωυσῆς ἀπὸ Αραβωθ Μωαβ ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος Ναβαυ ἐπὶ κορυφὴν Φασγα ἥ ἐστιν ἐπὶ προσώπου Ιεριχω καὶ ἔδειξεν αὐτῷ κύριος πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Γαλααδ ἕως Δαν 2 καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Νεφθαλι καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Εφραιμ καὶ Μανασση καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν Ιουδα ἕως τῆς θαλάσσης τῆς ἐσχάτης 3 καὶ τὴν ἔρημον καὶ τὰ περίχωρα Ιεριχω πόλιν φοινίκων ἕως Σηγωρ 4 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν αὕτη ἡ γῆ ἣν ὤμοσα Αβρααμ καὶ Ισαακ καὶ Ιακωβ λέγων τῷ σπέρματι ὑμῶν δώσω αὐτήν καὶ ἔδειξα αὐτὴν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς σου καὶ ἐκεῖ οὐκ εἰσελεύσῃ 5 καὶ ἐτελεύτησεν Μωυσῆς οἰκέτης κυρίου ἐν γῇ Μωαβ διὰ ῥήματος κυρίου 6 καὶ ἔθαψαν αὐτὸν ἐν Γαι ἐν γῇ Μωαβ ἐγγὺς οἴκου Φογωρ καὶ οὐκ οἶδεν οὐδεὶς τὴν ταφὴν αὐτοῦ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης 7 Μωυσῆς δὲ ἦν ἑκατὸν καὶ εἴκοσι ἐτῶν ἐν τῷ τελευτᾶν αὐτόν οὐκ ἠμαυρώθησαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ οὐδὲ ἐφθάρησαν τὰ χελύνια αὐτοῦ 8 καὶ ἔκλαυσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὸν Μωυσῆν ἐν Αραβωθ Μωαβ ἐπὶ τοῦ Ιορδάνου κατὰ Ιεριχω τριάκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ συνετελέσθησαν αἱ ἡμέραι πένθους κλαυθμοῦ Μωυσῆ 9 καὶ Ἰησοῦς υἱὸς Ναυη ἐνεπλήσθη πνεύματος συνέσεως ἐπέθηκεν γὰρ Μωυσῆς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ἐπ' αὐτόν καὶ εἰσήκουσαν αὐτοῦ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐποίησαν καθότι ἐνετείλατο κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ 10 καὶ οὐκ ἀνέστη ἔτι προφήτης ἐν Ισραηλ ὡς Μωυσῆς ὃν ἔγνω κύριος αὐτὸν πρόσωπον κατὰ πρόσωπον 11 ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς σημείοις καὶ τέρασιν ὃν ἀπέστειλεν αὐτὸν κύριος ποιῆσαι αὐτὰ ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ Φαραω καὶ τοῖς θεράπουσιν αὐτοῦ καὶ πάσῃ τῇ γῇ αὐτοῦ 12 τὰ θαυμάσια τὰ μεγάλα καὶ τὴν χεῖρα τὴν κραταιάν ἃ ἐποίησεν Μωυσῆς ἔναντι παντὸς Ισραηλ | 1 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab upon mount Nebo, to the top of Phasga over against Jericho: and the Lord showed him all the land of Galaad as far as Dan. 2 And all Nephtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasses, and all the land of Juda unto the furthermost sea, 3 and the south part, and the breadth of the plain of Jericho the city of palm trees as far as Segor. 4 And the Lord said to him: This is the land, for which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying: I will give it to your seed. You have seen it with your eyes, and shall not pass over to it. 5 And Moses the servant of the Lord died there, in the land of Moab, by the commandment of the Lord: 6 And he buried him in the valley of the land of Moab over against Phogor: and no man has known of his sepulchre until this present day. 7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, neither were his teeth moved. 8 And the children of Israel mourned for him in the plains of Moab thirty days: and the days of their mourning in which they mourned Moses were ended. 9 And Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, because Moses had laid his hands upon him. And the children of Israel obeyed him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses. 10 And there arose no more a prophet in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, 11 in all the signs and wonders, which he sent by him, to do in the land of Egypt to Pharao, and to all his servants, and to his whole land, 12 and all the mighty hand, and great miracles, which Moses did before all Israel. | 1 Ascendit ergo Moyses de campestribus Moab super montem Nebo, in verticem Phasga contra Jericho : ostenditque ei Dominus omnem terram Galaad usque Dan, 2 et universum Nephthali, terramque Ephraim et Manasse, et omnem terram Juda usque ad mare novissimum, 3 et australem partem, et latitudinem campi Jericho civitatis palmarum usque Segor. 4 Dixitque Dominus ad eum : Hæc est terra, pro qua juravi Abraham, Isaac, et Jacob, dicens : Semini tuo dabo eam. Vidisti eam oculis tuis, et non transibis ad illam. 5 Mortuusque est ibi Moyses servus Domini, in terra Moab, jubente Domino: 6 et sepelivit eum in valle terræ Moab contra Phogor : et non cognovit homo sepulchrum ejus usque in præsentem diem. 7 Moyses centum et viginti annorum erat quando mortuus est : non caligavit oculus ejus, nec dentes illius moti sunt. 8 Fleveruntque eum filii Israël in campestribus Moab triginta diebus : et completi sunt dies planctus lugentium Moysen. 9 Josue vero filius Nun repletus est spiritu sapientiæ, quia Moyses posuit super eum manus suas. Et obedierunt ei filii Israël, feceruntque sicut præcepit Dominus Moysi. 10 Et non surrexit ultra propheta in Israël sicut Moyses, quem nosset Dominus facie ad faciem, 11 in omnibus signis atque portentis, quæ misit per eum, ut faceret in terra Ægypti Pharaoni, et omnibus servis ejus, universæque terræ illius, 12 et cunctam manum robustam, magnaque mirabilia, quæ fecit Moyses coram universo Israël. |
