| 1 καὶ αὗται αἱ γενέσεις Ααρων καὶ Μωυσῆ ἐν ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐλάλησεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ ἐν ὄρει Σινα 2 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Ααρων πρωτότοκος Ναδαβ καὶ Αβιουδ Ελεαζαρ καὶ Ιθαμαρ 3 ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Ααρων οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ ἠλειμμένοι οὓς ἐτελείωσαν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν ἱερατεύειν 4 καὶ ἐτελεύτησεν Ναδαβ καὶ Αβιουδ ἔναντι κυρίου προσφερόντων αὐτῶν πῦρ ἀλλότριον ἔναντι κυρίου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σινα καὶ παιδία οὐκ ἦν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἱεράτευσεν Ελεαζαρ καὶ Ιθαμαρ μετ' Ααρων τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν 5 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων 6 λαβὲ τὴν φυλὴν Λευι καὶ στήσεις αὐτοὺς ἐναντίον Ααρων τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ λειτουργήσουσιν αὐτῷ 7 καὶ φυλάξουσιν τὰς φυλακὰς αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰς φυλακὰς τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἔναντι τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἐργάζεσθαι τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς 8 καὶ φυλάξουσιν πάντα τὰ σκεύη τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὰς φυλακὰς τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ κατὰ πάντα τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς 9 καὶ δώσεις τοὺς Λευίτας Ααρων καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν δόμα δεδομένοι οὗτοί μοί εἰσιν ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ 10 καὶ Ααρων καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ καταστήσεις ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ φυλάξουσιν τὴν ἱερατείαν αὐτῶν καὶ πάντα τὰ κατὰ τὸν βωμὸν καὶ ἔσω τοῦ καταπετάσματος καὶ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς ὁ ἁπτόμενος ἀποθανεῖται 11 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων 12 καὶ ἐγὼ ἰδοὺ εἴληφα τοὺς Λευίτας ἐκ μέσου τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἀντὶ παντὸς πρωτοτόκου διανοίγοντος μήτραν παρὰ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ λύτρα αὐτῶν ἔσονται καὶ ἔσονται ἐμοὶ οἱ Λευῖται 13 ἐμοὶ γὰρ πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐπάταξα πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτου ἡγίασα ἐμοὶ πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν Ισραηλ ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους ἐμοὶ ἔσονται ἐγὼ κύριος 14 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σινα λέγων 15 ἐπίσκεψαι τοὺς υἱοὺς Λευι κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω ἐπισκέψασθε αὐτούς 16 καὶ ἐπεσκέψαντο αὐτοὺς Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων διὰ φωνῆς κυρίου ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν αὐτοῖς κύριος 17 καὶ ἦσαν οὗτοι οἱ υἱοὶ Λευι ἐξ ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν Γεδσων Κααθ καὶ Μεραρι 18 καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Γεδσων κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν Λοβενι καὶ Σεμεϊ 19 καὶ υἱοὶ Κααθ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν Αμραμ καὶ Ισσααρ Χεβρων καὶ Οζιηλ 20 καὶ υἱοὶ Μεραρι κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν Μοολι καὶ Μουσι οὗτοί εἰσιν δῆμοι τῶν Λευιτῶν κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν 21 τῷ Γεδσων δῆμος τοῦ Λοβενι καὶ δῆμος τοῦ Σεμεϊ οὗτοι δῆμοι τοῦ Γεδσων 22 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν παντὸς ἀρσενικοῦ ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἑπτακισχίλιοι καὶ πεντακόσιοι 23 καὶ υἱοὶ Γεδσων ὀπίσω τῆς σκηνῆς παρὰ θάλασσαν παρεμβαλοῦσιν 24 καὶ ὁ ἄρχων οἴκου πατριᾶς τοῦ δήμου τοῦ Γεδσων Ελισαφ υἱὸς Λαηλ 25 καὶ ἡ φυλακὴ υἱῶν Γεδσων ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἡ σκηνὴ καὶ τὸ κάλυμμα καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου 26 καὶ τὰ ἱστία τῆς αὐλῆς καὶ τὸ καταπέτασμα τῆς πύλης τῆς αὐλῆς τῆς οὔσης ἐπὶ τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τὰ κατάλοιπα πάντων τῶν ἔργων αὐτοῦ 27 τῷ Κααθ δῆμος ὁ Αμραμις καὶ δῆμος ὁ Σααρις καὶ δῆμος ὁ Χεβρωνις καὶ δῆμος ὁ Οζιηλις οὗτοί εἰσιν δῆμοι τοῦ Κααθ 28 κατὰ ἀριθμὸν πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω ὀκτακισχίλιοι καὶ ἑξακόσιοι φυλάσσοντες τὰς φυλακὰς τῶν ἁγίων 29 οἱ δῆμοι τῶν υἱῶν Κααθ παρεμβαλοῦσιν ἐκ πλαγίων τῆς σκηνῆς κατὰ λίβα 30 καὶ ὁ ἄρχων οἴκου πατριῶν τῶν δήμων τοῦ Κααθ Ελισαφαν υἱὸς Οζιηλ 31 καὶ ἡ φυλακὴ αὐτῶν ἡ κιβωτὸς καὶ ἡ τράπεζα καὶ ἡ λυχνία καὶ τὰ θυσιαστήρια καὶ τὰ σκεύη τοῦ ἁγίου ὅσα λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ τὸ κατακάλυμμα καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν 32 καὶ ὁ ἄρχων ἐπὶ τῶν ἀρχόντων τῶν Λευιτῶν Ελεαζαρ ὁ υἱὸς Ααρων τοῦ ἱερέως καθεσταμένος φυλάσσειν τὰς φυλακὰς τῶν ἁγίων 33 τῷ Μεραρι δῆμος ὁ Μοολι καὶ δῆμος ὁ Μουσι οὗτοί εἰσιν δῆμοι Μεραρι 34 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμόν πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω ἑξακισχίλιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα 35 καὶ ὁ ἄρχων οἴκου πατριῶν τοῦ δήμου τοῦ Μεραρι Σουριηλ υἱὸς Αβιχαιλ ἐκ πλαγίων τῆς σκηνῆς παρεμβαλοῦσιν πρὸς βορρᾶν 36 ἡ ἐπίσκεψις ἡ φυλακὴ υἱῶν Μεραρι τὰς κεφαλίδας τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τοὺς μοχλοὺς αὐτῆς καὶ τοὺς στύλους αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς βάσεις αὐτῆς καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν 37 καὶ τοὺς στύλους τῆς αὐλῆς κύκλῳ καὶ τὰς βάσεις αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς πασσάλους καὶ τοὺς κάλους αὐτῶν 38 καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες κατὰ πρόσωπον τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἀπ' ἀνατολῆς Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ φυλάσσοντες τὰς φυλακὰς τοῦ ἁγίου εἰς τὰς φυλακὰς τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς ὁ ἁπτόμενος ἀποθανεῖται 39 πᾶσα ἡ ἐπίσκεψις τῶν Λευιτῶν οὓς ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων διὰ φωνῆς κυρίου κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν πᾶν ἀρσενικὸν ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω δύο καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες | 1 These are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the Lord spoke to Moses in mount Sinai. 2 And these the names of the sons of Aaron: his firstborn Nadab, then Abiu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar. 3 These the names of the sons of Aaron the priests that were anointed, and whose hands were filled and consecrated, to do the functions of priesthood. 4 Now Nadab and Abiu died, without children, when they offered strange fire before the Lord, in the desert of Sinai: and Eleazar and Ithamar performed the priestly office in the presence of Aaron their father. 5 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 6 Bring the tribe of Levi, and make them stand in the sight of Aaron the priest to minister to him, and let them watch, 7 and observe whatsoever appertains to the service of the multitude before the tabernacle of the testimony, 8 and let them keep the vessels of the tabernacle, serving in the ministry thereof. 9 And you shall give the Levites for a gift, 10 to Aaron and to his sons, to whom they are delivered by the children of Israel. But you shall appoint Aaron and his sons over the service of priesthood. The stranger that approaches to minister, shall be put to death. 11 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 12 I have taken the Levites from the children of Israel, for every firstborn that opens the womb among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine. 13 For every firstborn is mine: since I struck the firstborn in the land of Egypt: I have sanctified to myself whatsoever is firstborn in Israel both of man and beast, they are mine: I am the Lord. 14 And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, saying: 15 Number the sons of Levi by the houses of their fathers and their families, every male from one month and upward. 16 Moses numbered them as the Lord had commanded. 17 And there were found sons of Levi by their names, Gerson and Caath Merari. 18 The sons of Gerson: Lebni and Semei. 19 The sons of Caath: Amram, and Jesaar, Hebron and Oziel: 20 The sons of Merari, Moholi and Musi. 21 Of Gerson were two families, the Lebnites, and the Semeites: 22 Of which were numbered, people of the male sex from one month and upward, seven thousand five hundred. 23 These shall pitch behind the tabernacle on the west, 24 under their prince Eliasaph the son of Lael. 25 And their charge shall be in the tabernacle of the covenant: 26 The tabernacle itself and the cover thereof, the hanging that is drawn before the doors of the tabernacle of the covenant, and the curtains of the court: the hanging also that is hanged in the entry of the court of the tabernacle, and whatsoever belongs to the rite of the altar, the cords of the tabernacle, and all the furniture thereof. 27 Of the kindred of Caath come the families of the Amramites and Jesaarites and Hebronites and Ozielites. These are the families of the Caathites reckoned up by their names: 28 All of the male sex from one month and upward, eight thousand six hundred: they shall have the guard of the sanctuary, 29 and shall camp on the south side. 30 And their prince shall be Elisaphan the son of Oziel: 31 And they shall keep the ark, and the table and the candlestick, the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary, wherewith they minister, and the veil, and all the furniture of this kind. 32 And the prince of the princes of the Levites, Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, shall be over them that watch for the guard of the sanctuary. 33 And of Merari are the families of the Moholites, and Musites, reckoned up by their names: 34 All of the male kind from one month and upward, six thousand two hundred. 35 Their prince Suriel the son of Abihaiel: their shall camp on the north side. 36 Under their custody shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars, and the pillars and their sockets, and all things that pertain to this kind of service: 37 And the pillars of the court round about with their sockets, and the pins with their cords. 38 Before the tabernacle of the covenant, that is to say on the east side shall Moses and Aaron camp, with their sons, having the custody of the sanctuary, in the midst of the children of Israel. What stranger soever comes unto it, shall be put to death. 39 All the Levites, that I Moses and Aaron numbered according to the precept of the Lord, by their families, of the male kind from one month and upward, were twenty-two thousand. | 1 Hæ sunt generationes Aaron et Moysi in die qua locutus est Dominus ad Moysen in monte Sinai. 2 Et hæc nomina filiorum Aaron : primogenitus ejus Nadab, deinde Abiu, et Eleazar, et Ithamar. 3 Hæc nomina filiorum Aaron sacerdotum qui uncti sunt, et quorum repletæ et consecratæ manus ut sacerdotio fungerentur. 4 Mortui sunt enim Nadab et Abiu cum offerrent ignem alienum in conspectu Domini in deserto Sinai, absque liberis : functique sunt sacerdotio Eleazar et Ithamar coram Aaron patre suo. 5 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens: 6 Applica tribum Levi, et fac stare in conspectu Aaron sacerdotis ut ministrent ei, et excubent, 7 et observent quidquid ad cultum pertinet multitudinis coram tabernaculo testimonii, 8 et custodiant vasa tabernaculi, servientes in ministerio ejus. 9 Dabisque dono Levitas 10 Aaron et filiis ejus, quibus traditi sunt a filiis Israël. Aaron autem et filios ejus constitues super cultum sacerdotii. Externus, qui ad ministrandum accesserit, morietur. 11 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens: 12 Ego tuli Levitas a filiis Israël pro omni primogenito, qui aperit vulvam in filiis Israël, eruntque Levitæ mei. 13 Meum est enim omne primogenitum : ex quo percussi primogenitos in terra Ægypti, sanctificavi mihi quidquid primum nascitur in Israël : ab homine usque ad pecus, mei sunt. Ego Dominus. 14 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen in deserto Sinai, dicens: 15 Numera filios Levi per domos patrum suorum et familias, omnem masculum ab uno mense et supra. 16 Numeravit Moyses, ut præceperat Dominus, 17 et inventi sunt filii Levi per nomina sua, Gerson et Caath et Merari. 18 Filii Gerson : Lebni et Semei. 19 Filii Caath : Amram et Jesaar, Hebron et Oziel. 20 Filii Merari : Moholi et Musi. 21 De Gerson fuere familiæ duæ, Lebnitica, et Semeitica: 22 quarum numeratus est populus sexus masculini ab uno mense et supra, septem millia quingenti. 23 Hi post tabernaculum metabuntur ad occidentem, 24 sub principe Eliasaph filio Laël. 25 Et habebunt excubias in tabernaculo fœderis, 26 ipsum tabernaculum et operimentum ejus, tentorium quod trahitur ante fores tecti fœderis, et cortinas atrii : tentorium quoque quod appenditur in introitu atrii tabernaculi, et quidquid ad ritum altaris pertinet, funes tabernaculi et omnia utensilia ejus. 27 Cognatio Caath habebit populos Amramitas et Jesaaritas et Hebronitas et Ozielitas. Hæ sunt familiæ Caathitarum recensitæ per nomina sua. 28 Omnes generis masculini ab uno mense et supra, octo millia sexcenti habebunt excubias sanctuarii, 29 et castrametabuntur ad meridianam plagam. 30 Princepsque eorum erit Elisaphan filius Oziel: 31 et custodient arcam, mensamque et candelabrum, altaria et vasa sanctuarii, in quibus ministratur, et velum, cunctamque hujuscemodi supellectilem. 32 Princeps autem principum Levitarum Eleazar filius Aaron sacerdotis, erit super excubitores custodiæ sanctuarii. 33 At vero de Merari erunt populi Moholitæ et Musitæ recensiti per nomina sua: 34 omnes generis masculini ab uno mense et supra, sex millia ducenti. 35 Princeps eorum Suriel filius Abihaiel : in plaga septentrionali castrametabuntur. 36 Erunt sub custodia eorum tabulæ tabernaculi et vectes, et columnæ ac bases earum, et omnia quæ ad cultum hujuscemodi pertinent: 37 columnæque atrii per circuitum cum basibus suis, et paxilli cum funibus. 38 Castrametabuntur ante tabernaculum fœderis, id est, ad orientalem plagam, Moyses et Aaron cum filiis suis, habentes custodiam sanctuarii in medio filiorum Israël. Quisquis alienus accesserit, morietur. 39 Omnes Levitæ, quos numeraverunt Moyses et Aaron juxta præceptum Domini per familias suas in genere masculino a mense uno et supra, fuerunt viginti duo millia. |
| 40 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων ἐπίσκεψαι πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἄρσεν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω καὶ λαβὲ τὸν ἀριθμὸν ἐξ ὀνόματος 41 καὶ λήμψῃ τοὺς Λευίτας ἐμοί ἐγὼ κύριος ἀντὶ πάντων τῶν πρωτοτόκων τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ τὰ κτήνη τῶν Λευιτῶν ἀντὶ πάντων τῶν πρωτοτόκων ἐν τοῖς κτήνεσιν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ 42 καὶ ἐπεσκέψατο Μωυσῆς ὃν τρόπον ἐνετείλατο κύριος πᾶν πρωτότοκον ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ 43 καὶ ἐγένοντο πάντα τὰ πρωτότοκα τὰ ἀρσενικὰ κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ἐξ ὀνόματος ἀπὸ μηνιαίου καὶ ἐπάνω ἐκ τῆς ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν δύο καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες τρεῖς καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα καὶ διακόσιοι 44 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων 45 λαβὲ τοὺς Λευίτας ἀντὶ πάντων τῶν πρωτοτόκων τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ τὰ κτήνη τῶν Λευιτῶν ἀντὶ τῶν κτηνῶν αὐτῶν καὶ ἔσονται ἐμοὶ οἱ Λευῖται ἐγὼ κύριος 46 καὶ τὰ λύτρα τριῶν καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα καὶ διακοσίων οἱ πλεονάζοντες παρὰ τοὺς Λευίτας ἀπὸ τῶν πρωτοτόκων τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ 47 καὶ λήμψῃ πέντε σίκλους κατὰ κεφαλήν κατὰ τὸ δίδραχμον τὸ ἅγιον λήμψῃ εἴκοσι ὀβολοὺς τοῦ σίκλου 48 καὶ δώσεις τὸ ἀργύριον Ααρων καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ λύτρα τῶν πλεοναζόντων ἐν αὐτοῖς 49 καὶ ἔλαβεν Μωυσῆς τὸ ἀργύριον τὰ λύτρα τῶν πλεοναζόντων εἰς τὴν ἐκλύτρωσιν τῶν Λευιτῶν 50 παρὰ τῶν πρωτοτόκων τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἔλαβεν τὸ ἀργύριον χιλίους τριακοσίους ἑξήκοντα πέντε σίκλους κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον 51 καὶ ἔδωκεν Μωυσῆς τὰ λύτρα τῶν πλεοναζόντων Ααρων καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ διὰ φωνῆς κυρίου ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ | 40 And the Lord said to Moses: Number the firstborn of the male sex of the children of Israel, from one month and upward, and you shall take the sum of them. 41 And you shall take the Levites to me for all the firstborn of the children of Israel, I am the Lord: and their cattle for all the firstborn of the cattle of the children of Israel: 42 Moses reckoned up, as the Lord had commanded, the firstborn of the children of Israel: 43 And the males by their names, from one month and upward, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three. 44 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 45 Take the Levites for the firstborn of the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites for their cattle, and the Levites shall be mine. I am the Lord. 46 But for the price of the two hundred and seventy-three, of the firstborn of the children of Israel, that exceed the number of the Levites, 47 you shall take five sicles for every bead, according to the weight of the sanctuary. Ego sum Dominus. 46 In pretio autem ducentorum septuaginta trium, qui excedunt numerum Levitarum de primogenitis filiorum Israël, 47 accipies quinque siclos per singula capita ad mensuram sanctuarii (siclus habet viginti obolos): 48 dabisque pecuniam Aaron et filiis ejus pretium eorum qui supra sunt. 49 Tulit igitur Moyses pecuniam eorum, qui fuerant amplius, et quos redemerant a Levitis, 50 pro primogenitis filiorum Israël, mille trecentorum sexaginta quinque siclorum juxta pondus sanctuarii: 51 et dedit eam Aaron et filiis ejus juxta verbum quod præceperat sibi Dominus. |
