| 1 καὶ εἰσήνεγκαν τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἀπηρείσαντο αὐτὴν ἐν μέσῳ τῆς σκηνῆς ἧς ἔπηξεν αὐτῇ Δαυιδ καὶ προσήνεγκαν ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ σωτηρίου ἐναντίον τοῦ θεοῦ 2 καὶ συνετέλεσεν Δαυιδ ἀναφέρων ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ σωτηρίου καὶ εὐλόγησεν τὸν λαὸν ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου 3 καὶ διεμέρισεν παντὶ ἀνδρὶ Ισραηλ ἀπὸ ἀνδρὸς καὶ ἕως γυναικὸς τῷ ἀνδρὶ ἄρτον ἕνα ἀρτοκοπικὸν καὶ ἀμορίτην | 1 So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent, which David had pitched for it: and they offered holocausts, and peace offerings before God. 2 And when David had made an end of offering holocausts, and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord. 3 And he divided to all and every one, both men and women, a loaf of bread, and a piece of roasted beef, and flour fried with oil. | 1 Attulerunt igitur arcam Dei, et constituerunt eam in medio tabernaculi quod tetenderat ei David : et obtulerunt holocausta et pacifica coram Deo. 2 Cumque complesset David offerens holocausta et pacifica, benedixit populo in nomine Domini. 3 Et divisit universis per singulos, a viro usque ad mulierem, tortam panis, et partem assæ carnis bubalæ, et frixam oleo similam. |
| 4 καὶ ἔταξεν κατὰ πρόσωπον τῆς κιβωτοῦ διαθήκης κυρίου ἐκ τῶν Λευιτῶν λειτουργοῦντας ἀναφωνοῦντας καὶ ἐξομολογεῖσθαι καὶ αἰνεῖν κύριον τὸν θεὸν Ισραηλ 5 Ασαφ ὁ ἡγούμενος καὶ δευτερεύων αὐτῷ Ζαχαριας Ιιηλ Σεμιραμωθ Ιιηλ Ματταθιας Ελιαβ καὶ Βαναιας καὶ Αβδεδομ καὶ Ιιηλ ἐν ὀργάνοις νάβλαις καὶ κινύραις καὶ Ασαφ ἐν κυμβάλοις ἀναφωνῶν 6 καὶ Βαναιας καὶ Οζιηλ οἱ ἱερεῖς ἐν ταῖς σάλπιγξιν διὰ παντὸς ἐναντίον τῆς κιβωτοῦ τῆς διαθήκης τοῦ θεοῦ | 4 And he appointed Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, and to remember his works, and to glorify, and praise the Lord God of Israel. 5 Asaph the chief, and next after him Zacharias: moreover Jahiel, and Semiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mathathias, and Eliab, and Banaias, and Obededom: and Jehiel over the instruments of psaltery, and harps: and Asaph sounded with cymbals: 6 But Banaias, and Jaziel the priests, to sound the trumpet continually before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. | 4 Constituitque coram arca Domini de Levitis, qui ministrarent, et recordarentur operum ejus, et glorificarent atque laudarent Dominum Deum Israël: 5 Asaph principem, et secundum ejus Zachariam : porro Jahiel, et Semiramoth, et Jehiel, et Mathathiam, et Eliab, et Banaiam, et Obededom : Jehiel super organa psalterii et lyras : Asaph autem ut cymbalis personaret: 6 Banaiam vero et Jaziel sacerdotes canere tuba jugiter coram arca fœderis Domini. |

| 8 ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ κυρίῳ ἐπικαλεῖσθε αὐτὸν ἐν ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ γνωρίσατε ἐν λαοῖς τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτοῦ 9 ᾄσατε αὐτῷ καὶ ὑμνήσατε αὐτῷ διηγήσασθε πᾶσιν τὰ θαυμάσια αὐτοῦ ἃ ἐποίησεν κύριος 10 αἰνεῖτε ἐν ὀνόματι ἁγίῳ αὐτοῦ εὐφρανθήσεται καρδία ζητοῦσα τὴν εὐδοκίαν αὐτοῦ 11 ζητήσατε τὸν κύριον καὶ ἰσχύσατε ζητήσατε τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ διὰ παντός 12 μνημονεύετε τὰ θαυμάσια αὐτοῦ ἃ ἐποίησεν τέρατα καὶ κρίματα τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ 13 σπέρμα Ισραηλ παῖδες αὐτοῦ υἱοὶ Ιακωβ ἐκλεκτοὶ αὐτοῦ 14 αὐτὸς κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ τὰ κρίματα αὐτοῦ 15 μνημονεύων εἰς αἰῶνα διαθήκης αὐτοῦ λόγον αὐτοῦ ὃν ἐνετείλατο εἰς χιλίας γενεάς 16 ὃν διέθετο τῷ Αβρααμ καὶ τὸν ὅρκον αὐτοῦ τῷ Ισαακ 17 ἔστησεν αὐτὸν τῷ Ιακωβ εἰς πρόσταγμα τῷ Ισραηλ διαθήκην αἰώνιον 18 λέγων σοὶ δώσω τὴν γῆν Χανααν σχοίνισμα κληρονομίας ὑμῶν 19 ἐν τῷ γενέσθαι αὐτοὺς ὀλιγοστοὺς ἀριθμῷ ὡς ἐσμικρύνθησαν καὶ παρῴκησαν ἐν αὐτῇ 20 καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἀπὸ ἔθνους εἰς ἔθνος καὶ ἀπὸ βασιλείας εἰς λαὸν ἕτερον 21 οὐκ ἀφῆκεν ἄνδρα τοῦ δυναστεῦσαι αὐτοὺς καὶ ἤλεγξεν περὶ αὐτῶν βασιλεῖς 22 μὴ ἅψησθε τῶν χριστῶν μου καὶ ἐν τοῖς προφήταις μου μὴ πονηρεύεσθε 23 ᾄσατε τῷ κυρίῳ πᾶσα ἡ γῆ ἀναγγείλατε ἐξ ἡμέρας εἰς ἡμέραν σωτηρίαν αὐτοῦ 24 25 ὅτι μέγας κύριος καὶ αἰνετὸς σφόδρα φοβερός ἐστιν ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς θεούς 26 ὅτι πάντες οἱ θεοὶ τῶν ἐθνῶν εἴδωλα καὶ ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν οὐρανὸν ἐποίησεν 27 δόξα καὶ ἔπαινος κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἰσχὺς καὶ καύχημα ἐν τόπῳ αὐτοῦ 28 δότε τῷ κυρίῳ πατριαὶ τῶν ἐθνῶν δότε τῷ κυρίῳ δόξαν καὶ ἰσχύν 29 δότε τῷ κυρίῳ δόξαν ὀνόματος αὐτοῦ λάβετε δῶρα καὶ ἐνέγκατε κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ καὶ προσκυνήσατε τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν αὐλαῖς ἁγίαις αὐτοῦ 30 φοβηθήτω ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ πᾶσα ἡ γῆ κατορθωθήτω ἡ γῆ καὶ μὴ σαλευθήτω 31 εὐφρανθήτω ὁ οὐρανός καὶ ἀγαλλιάσθω ἡ γῆ καὶ εἰπάτωσαν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν κύριος βασιλεύων 32 βομβήσει ἡ θάλασσα σὺν τῷ πληρώματι καὶ ξύλον ἀγροῦ καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐτῷ 33 τότε εὐφρανθήσεται τὰ ξύλα τοῦ δρυμοῦ ἀπὸ προσώπου κυρίου ὅτι ἦλθεν κρῖναι τὴν γῆν 34 ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ κυρίῳ ὅτι ἀγαθόν ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ 35 καὶ εἴπατε σῶσον ἡμᾶς ὁ θεὸς τῆς σωτηρίας ἡμῶν καὶ ἐξελοῦ ἡμᾶς ἐκ τῶν ἐθνῶν τοῦ αἰνεῖν τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἅγιόν σου καὶ καυχᾶσθαι ἐν ταῖς αἰνέσεσίν σου 36 εὐλογημένος κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἀπὸ τοῦ αἰῶνος καὶ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος καὶ ἐρεῖ πᾶς ὁ λαός αμην καὶ ᾔνεσαν τῷ κυρίῳ 37 καὶ κατέλιπον ἐκεῖ ἔναντι τῆς κιβωτοῦ διαθήκης κυρίου τὸν Ασαφ καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ τοῦ λειτουργεῖν ἐναντίον τῆς κιβωτοῦ διὰ παντὸς τὸ τῆς ἡμέρας εἰς ἡμέραν 38 καὶ Αβδεδομ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ ἑξήκοντα καὶ ὀκτώ καὶ Αβδεδομ υἱὸς Ιδιθων καὶ Οσσα εἰς πυλωρούς 39 καὶ τὸν Σαδωκ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ τοὺς ἱερεῖς ἐναντίον σκηνῆς κυρίου ἐν Βαμα τῇ ἐν Γαβαων 40 τοῦ ἀναφέρειν ὁλοκαυτώματα τῷ κυρίῳ ἐπὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τῶν ὁλοκαυτωμάτων διὰ παντὸς τὸ πρωὶ καὶ τὸ ἑσπέρας καὶ κατὰ πάντα τὰ γεγραμμένα ἐν νόμῳ κυρίου ὅσα ἐνετείλατο ἐφ' υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἐν χειρὶ Μωυσῆ τοῦ θεράποντος τοῦ θεοῦ 41 καὶ μετ' αὐτοῦ Αιμαν καὶ Ιδιθων καὶ οἱ λοιποὶ ἐκλεγέντες ἐπ' ὀνόματος τοῦ αἰνεῖν τὸν κύριον ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ 42 καὶ μετ' αὐτῶν σάλπιγγες καὶ κύμβαλα τοῦ ἀναφωνεῖν καὶ ὄργανα τῶν ᾠδῶν τοῦ θεοῦ υἱοὶ Ιδιθων εἰς τὴν πύλην 43 καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἅπας ὁ λαὸς ἕκαστος εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν Δαυιδ τοῦ εὐλογῆσαι τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ | 8 Praise the Lord, and call upon his name: make known his doings among the nations. 9 Sing to him, yea, sing praises to him: and relate all his wondrous works. 10 Praise his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice, that seek the Lord. 11 Seek the Lord, and his power: seek his face evermore. 12 Remember his wonderful works, which he has done: his signs, and the judgments of his mouth. 13 O you seed of Israel his servants, you children of Jacob his chosen. 14 He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth. 15 Remember for ever his covenant: the word, which he commanded to a thousand generations. 16 The covenant which he made with Abraham: and his oath to Isaac. 17 And he appointed the same to Jacob for a precept: and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: 18 Saying: To you will I give the land of Chanaan: the lot of your inheritance. 19 When they were but a small number: very few and sojourners in it. 20 And they passed from nation to nation: and from a kingdom to another people. 21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: and reproved kings for their sake. 22 Touch not my anointed: and do no evil to my prophets. 23 Sing to the Lord, all the earth: show forth from day to day his salvation. 24 Declare his glory among the Gentiles: his wonders among all people. 25 For the Lord is great and exceedingly to be praised: and he is to be feared above all gods. 26 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens. 27 Praise and magnificence are before him: strength and joy in his place. 28 Bring to the Lord, O you families of the nations: bring to the Lord glory and empire. 29 Give to the Lord glory to his name, bring up sacrifice, and come in his sight: and adore the Lord in holy becomingness. 30 Let all the earth be moved at his presence: for he has founded the world immoveable. 31 Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth be glad: and let them say among the nations: The Lord has reigned. 32 Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all things that are in them. 33 Then shall the trees of the wood give praise before the Lord: because he has come to judge the earth. 34 Give glory to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever. 35 And say: Save us, O God our savior: and gather us together, and deliver us from the nations, that we may give glory to your holy name, and may rejoice in singing your praises. 36 Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from eternity to eternity: and let all the people say Amen, and a hymn to God. 37 So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, Asaph and his brethren to minister in the presence of the ark continually day by day, and in their courses. 38 And Obededom, with his brethren sixty-eight: and Obededom the son of Idithun, and Hosa he appointed to be porters. 39 And Sadoc the priest, and his brethren priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place, which was in Gabaon. 40 That they should offer holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of holocausts continually, morning and evening, according to all that is written in the law of the Lord, which he commanded Israel. 41 And after him Heman, and Idithun, and the rest that were chosen, every one by his name to give praise to the Lord: because his mercy endures for ever. 42 And Heman and Idithun sounded the trumpet, and played on the cymbals, and all kinds of musical instruments to sing praises to God: and the sons of Idithun he made porters. 43 And all the people returned to their houses: and David to bless also his own house. | 8 Confitemini Domino, et invocate nomen ejus : notas facite in populis adinventiones ejus. 9 Cantate ei, et psallite ei, et narrate omnia mirabilia ejus. 10 Laudate nomen sanctum ejus : lætetur cor quærentium Dominum. 11 Quærite Dominum, et virtutem ejus : quærite faciem ejus semper. 12 Recordamini mirabilium ejus quæ fecit; signorum illius, et judiciorum oris ejus, 13 semen Israël servi ejus, filii Jacob electi ejus. 14 Ipse Dominus Deus noster : in universa terra judicia ejus. 15 Recordamini in sempiternum pacti ejus : sermonis quem præcepit in mille generationes, 16 quem pepigit cum Abraham, et juramenti illius cum Isaac. 17 Et constituit illud Jacob in præceptum, et Israël in pactum sempiternum, 18 dicens : Tibi dabo terram Chanaan, funiculum hæreditatis vestræ : 19 cum essent pauci numero, parvi et coloni ejus. 20 Et transierunt de gente in gentem, et de regno ad populum alterum. 21 Non dimisit quemquam calumniari eos, sed increpavit pro eis reges. 22 Nolite tangere christos meos, et in prophetis meis nolite malignari. 23 Cantate Domino omnis terra; annuntiate ex die in diem salutare ejus : 24 narrate in gentibus gloriam ejus; in cunctis populis mirabilia ejus. 25 Quia magnus Dominus, et laudabilis nimis, et horribilis super omnes deos. 26 Omnes enim dii populorum idola : Dominus autem cælos fecit. 27 Confessio et magnificentia coram eo : fortitudo et gaudium in loco ejus. 28 Afferte Domino, familiæ populorum : afferte Domino gloriam et imperium. 29 Date Domino gloriam; nomini ejus levate sacrificium, et venite in conspectu ejus : et adorate Dominum in decore sancto. 30 Commoveatur a facie ejus omnis terra : ipse enim fundavit orbem immobilem. 31 Lætentur cæli, et exultet terra, et dicant in nationibus : Dominus regnavit. 32 Tonet mare et plenitudo ejus; exultent agri, et omnia quæ in eis sunt. 33 Tunc laudabunt ligna saltus coram Domino : quia venit judicare terram. 34 Confitemini Domino, quoniam bonus : quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus. 35 Et dicite : Salva nos, Deus salvator noster, et congrega nos, et erue de gentibus : ut confiteamur nomini sancto tuo, et exultemus in carminibus tuis. 36 Benedictus Dominus Deus Israël, ab æterno usque in æternum. Et dicat omnis populo : Amen, et hymnum Domino. 37 Reliquit itaque ibi coram arca fœderis Domini Asaph et fratres ejus, ut ministrarent in conspectu arcæ jugiter per singulos dies, et vices suas. 38 Porro Obededom, et fratres ejus sexaginta octo : et Obededom filium Idithun, et Hosa, constituit janitores; 39 Sadoc autem sacerdotem, et fratres ejus sacerdotes, coram tabernaculo Domini in excelso quod erat in Gabaon, 40 ut offerrent holocausta Domino super altare holocautomatis jugiter, mane et vespere, juxta omnia quæ scripta sunt in lege Domini, quam præcepit Israëli. 41 Et post eum Heman, et Idithun, et reliquos electos, unumquemque vocabulo suo ad confitendum Domino, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus. 42 Heman quoque et Idithun canentes tuba, et quatientes cymbala et omnia musicorum organa ad canendum Deo : filios autem Idithun fecit esse portarios. 43 Reversusque est omnis populus in domum suam : et David, ut benediceret etiam domui suæ. |
