| 1 καὶ ἐξεκκλησίασεν Δαυιδ πάντας τοὺς ἄρχοντας Ισραηλ ἄρχοντας τῶν κριτῶν καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας τῶν ἐφημεριῶν τῶν περὶ τὸ σῶμα τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἄρχοντας τῶν χιλιάδων καὶ τῶν ἑκατοντάδων καὶ τοὺς γαζοφύλακας καὶ τοὺς ἐπὶ τῶν ὑπαρχόντων αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς δυνάστας καὶ τοὺς μαχητὰς τῆς στρατιᾶς ἐν Ιερουσαλημ 2 καὶ ἔστη Δαυιδ ἐν μέσῳ τῆς ἐκκλησίας καὶ εἶπεν ἀκούσατέ μου ἀδελφοὶ καὶ λαός μου ἐμοὶ ἐγένετο ἐπὶ καρδίαν οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον ἀναπαύσεως τῆς κιβωτοῦ διαθήκης κυρίου καὶ στάσιν ποδῶν κυρίου ἡμῶν καὶ ἡτοίμασα τὰ εἰς τὴν κατασκήνωσιν ἐπιτήδεια 3 καὶ ὁ θεὸς εἶπεν οὐκ οἰκοδομήσεις ἐμοὶ οἶκον τοῦ ἐπονομάσαι τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐπ' αὐτῷ ὅτι ἄνθρωπος πολεμιστὴς εἶ σὺ καὶ αἵματα ἐξέχεας 4 καὶ ἐξελέξατο κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἐν ἐμοὶ ἀπὸ παντὸς οἴκου πατρός μου εἶναι βασιλέα ἐπὶ Ισραηλ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ ἐν Ιουδα ᾑρέτικεν τὸ βασίλειον καὶ ἐξ οἴκου Ιουδα τὸν οἶκον τοῦ πατρός μου καὶ ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς τοῦ πατρός μου ἐν ἐμοὶ ἠθέλησεν τοῦ γενέσθαι με βασιλέα ἐπὶ τῷ παντὶ Ισραηλ 5 καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν υἱῶν μου ὅτι πολλοὺς υἱοὺς ἔδωκέν μοι κύριος ἐξελέξατο ἐν Σαλωμων τῷ υἱῷ μου καθίσαι αὐτὸν ἐπὶ θρόνου βασιλείας κυρίου ἐπὶ τὸν Ισραηλ 6 καὶ εἶπέν μοι ὁ θεός Σαλωμων ὁ υἱός σου οἰκοδομήσει τὸν οἶκόν μου καὶ τὴν αὐλήν μου ὅτι ᾑρέτικα ἐν αὐτῷ εἶναί μου υἱόν κἀγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτῷ εἰς πατέρα 7 καὶ κατορθώσω τὴν βασιλείαν αὐτοῦ ἕως αἰῶνος ἐὰν ἰσχύσῃ τοῦ φυλάξασθαι τὰς ἐντολάς μου καὶ τὰ κρίματά μου ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη 8 καὶ νῦν κατὰ πρόσωπον πάσης ἐκκλησίας κυρίου καὶ ἐν ὠσὶν θεοῦ ἡμῶν φυλάξασθε καὶ ζητήσατε πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἵνα κληρονομήσητε τὴν γῆν τὴν ἀγαθὴν καὶ κατακληρονομήσητε τοῖς υἱοῖς ὑμῶν μεθ' ὑμᾶς ἕως αἰῶνος 9 καὶ νῦν Σαλωμων υἱέ μου γνῶθι τὸν θεὸν τῶν πατέρων σου καὶ δούλευε αὐτῷ ἐν καρδίᾳ τελείᾳ καὶ ψυχῇ θελούσῃ ὅτι πάσας καρδίας ἐτάζει κύριος καὶ πᾶν ἐνθύμημα γιγνώσκει ἐὰν ζητήσῃς αὐτόν εὑρεθήσεταί σοι καὶ ἐὰν καταλείψῃς αὐτόν καταλείψει σε εἰς τέλος 10 ἰδὲ τοίνυν ὅτι κύριος ᾑρέτικέν σε οἰκοδομῆσαι αὐτῷ οἶκον εἰς ἁγίασμα ἴσχυε καὶ ποίει | 1 And David assembled all the chief men of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies, who waited on the king: and the captains over thousands, and over hundreds, and them who had the charge over the substance and possessions of the king, and his sons with the officers of the court, and the men of power, and all the bravest of the army at Jerusalem. 2 And the king rising up, and standing said: Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had a thought to have built a house, in which the ark of the Lord, and the footstool of our God might rest: and prepared all things for the building. 3 And God said to me: You shall not build a house to my name: because you are a man of war, and have shed blood. 4 But the Lord God of Israel chose me of all the house of my father, to be king over Israel for ever: for of Juda he chose the princes: and of the house of Juda, my father's house: and among the sons of my father, it pleased him to choose me king over all Israel. 5 And among my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons) he has chosen Solomon my son, to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel. 6 And he said to me: Solomon your son shall build my house, and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be a father to him. 7 And I will establish his kingdom for ever, it he continue to keep my commandments, and my judgments, as at this day. 8 Now then before all the assembly of Israel, in the hearing of our God, keep and seek all the commandments of the Lord our God: that you may possess the good land, and may leave it to your children after you for ever. 9 And you my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart, and a willing mind: for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands all the thoughts of minds. If you seek him, you shall find him: but if you forsake him, he will cast you off for ever. 10 Now therefore seeing the Lord has chosen you to build the house of the sanctuary, take courage, and do it. | 1 Convocavit igitur David omnes principes Israël, duces tribuum, et præpositos turmarum, qui ministrabant regi : tribunos quoque et centuriones, et qui præerant substantiæ et possessionibus regis, filiosque suos cum eunuchis, et potentes et robustissimos quosque in exercitu Jerusalem. 2 Cumque surrexisset rex, et stetisset, ait : Audite me, fratres mei et populus meus : cogitavi ut ædificarem domum, in qua requiesceret arca fœderis Domini, et scabellum pedum Dei nostri : et ad ædificandum, omnia præparavi. 3 Deus autem dixit mihi : Non ædificabis domum nomini meo, eo quod sis vir bellator, et sanguinem fuderis. 4 Sed elegit Dominus Deus Israël me de universa domo patris mei, ut essem rex super Israël in sempiternum : de Juda enim elegit principes : porro de domo Juda, domum patris mei, et de filiis patris mei placuit ei ut me eligeret regem super cunctum Israël. 5 Sed et de filiis meis (filios enim mihi multos dedit Dominus) elegit Salomonem filium meum ut sederet in throno regni Domini super Israël, 6 dixitque mihi : Salomon filius tuus ædificabit domum meam, et atria mea : ipsum enim elegi mihi in filium, et ego ero ei in patrem. 7 Et firmabo regnum ejus usque in æternum, si perseveraverit facere præcepta mea et judicia, sicut et hodie. 8 Nunc ergo coram universo cœtu Israël audiente Deo nostro, custodite, et perquirite cuncta mandata Domini Dei nostri : ut possideatis terram bonam, et relinquatis eam filiis vestris post vos usque in sempiternum. 9 Tu autem, Salomon fili mi, scito Deum patris tui, et servito ei corde perfecto, animo voluntario : omnia enim corda scrutatur Dominus, et universas mentium cogitationes intelligit. Si quæsieris eum, invenies : si autem dereliqueris eum, projiciet te in æternum. 10 Nunc ergo quia elegit te Dominus ut ædificares domum sanctuarii, confortare, et perfice. |
| 11 καὶ ἔδωκεν Δαυιδ Σαλωμων τῷ υἱῷ αὐτοῦ τὸ παράδειγμα τοῦ ναοῦ καὶ τῶν οἴκων αὐτοῦ καὶ τῶν ζακχω αὐτοῦ καὶ τῶν ὑπερῴων καὶ τῶν ἀποθηκῶν τῶν ἐσωτέρων καὶ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ ἐξιλασμοῦ 12 καὶ τὸ παράδειγμα ὃ εἶχεν ἐν πνεύματι αὐτοῦ τῶν αὐλῶν οἴκου κυρίου καὶ πάντων τῶν παστοφορίων τῶν κύκλῳ τῶν εἰς τὰς ἀποθήκας οἴκου κυρίου καὶ τῶν ἀποθηκῶν τῶν ἁγίων 13 καὶ τῶν καταλυμάτων τῶν ἐφημεριῶν τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν εἰς πᾶσαν ἐργασίαν λειτουργίας οἴκου κυρίου καὶ τῶν ἀποθηκῶν τῶν λειτουργησίμων σκευῶν τῆς λατρείας οἴκου κυρίου 14 καὶ τὸν σταθμὸν τῆς ὁλκῆς αὐτῶν τῶν τε χρυσῶν καὶ ἀργυρῶν 15 λυχνιῶν τὴν ὁλκὴν ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ καὶ τῶν λύχνων 16 ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ ὁμοίως τὸν σταθμὸν τῶν τραπεζῶν τῆς προθέσεως ἑκάστης τραπέζης χρυσῆς καὶ ὡσαύτως τῶν ἀργυρῶν 17 καὶ τῶν κρεαγρῶν καὶ σπονδείων καὶ τῶν φιαλῶν τῶν χρυσῶν καὶ τὸν σταθμὸν τῶν χρυσῶν καὶ τῶν ἀργυρῶν κεφφουρε ἑκάστου σταθμοῦ 18 καὶ τὸν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου τῶν θυμιαμάτων ἐκ χρυσίου δοκίμου σταθμὸν ὑπέδειξεν αὐτῷ καὶ τὸ παράδειγμα τοῦ ἅρματος τῶν χερουβιν τῶν διαπεπετασμένων ταῖς πτέρυξιν καὶ σκιαζόντων ἐπὶ τῆς κιβωτοῦ διαθήκης κυρίου 19 πάντα ἐν γραφῇ χειρὸς κυρίου ἔδωκεν Δαυιδ Σαλωμων κατὰ τὴν περιγενηθεῖσαν αὐτῷ σύνεσιν τῆς κατεργασίας τοῦ παραδείγματος | 11 And David gave to Solomon his son a description of the porch, and of the temple, and of the treasures, and of the upper floor, and of the inner chambers, and of the house for the mercy seat, 12 as also of all the courts, which he had in his thought, and of the chambers round about, for the treasures of the house of the Lord, and for the treasures of the consecrated things, 13 and of the divisions of the priests and of the Levites, for all the works of the house of the Lord, and for all the vessels of the service of the temple of the Lord. 14 Gold by weight for every vessel for the ministry. And silver by weight according to the diversity of the vessels and uses. 15 He gave also gold for the golden candlesticks, and their lamps, according to the dimensions of every candlestick, and the lamps thereof. In like manner also he gave silver by weight for the silver candlesticks, and for their lamps according to the diversity of the dimensions of them. 16 He gave also gold for the tables of proposition, according to the diversity of the tables: in like manner also silver for other tables of silver. 17 For fleshhooks also, and bowls, and censors of fine gold, and for little lions of gold, according to the measure he gave by weight, for every lion. In like manner also for lions of silver he set aside a different weight of silver. 18 And for the altar of incense, he gave the purest gold: and to make the likeness of the chariot of the cherubims spreading their wings, and covering the ark of the covenant of the Lord. 19 All these things, said he, came to me written by the hand of the Lord that I might understand all the works of the pattern. | 11 Dedit autem David Salomoni filio suo descriptionem porticus, et templi, et cellariorum, et cœnaculi, et cubiculorum in adytis, et domus propitiationis, 12 necnon et omnium quæ cogitaverat atriorum et exedrarum per circuitum in thesauros domus Domini, et in thesauros sanctorum, 13 divisionumque sacerdotalium et Leviticarum, in omnia opera domus Domini, et in universa vasa ministerii templi Domini. 14 Aurum in pondere per singula vasa ministerii. Argenti quoque pondus pro vasorum et operum diversitate. 15 Sed et in candelabra aurea, et ad lucernas eorum, aurum pro mensura uniuscujusque candelabri et lucernarum. Similiter et in candelabra argentea, et in lucernas eorum, pro diversitate mensuræ, pondus argenti tradidit. 16 Aurum quoque dedit in mensas propositionis pro diversitate mensarum: similiter et argentum in alias mensas argenteas. 17 Ad fuscinulas quoque, et phialas, et thuribula ex auro purissimo, et leunculos aureos pro qualitate mensuræ pondus distribuit in leunculum et leunculum. Similiter et in leones argenteos diversum argenti pondus separavit. 18 Altari autem, in quo adoletur incensum, aurum purissimum dedit : ut ex ipso fieret similitudo quadrigæ cherubim extendentium alas, et velantium arcam fœderis Domini. 19 Omnia, inquit, venerunt scripta manu Domini ad me, ut intelligerem universa opera exemplaris. |
| 20 καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ Σαλωμων τῷ υἱῷ αὐτοῦ ἴσχυε καὶ ἀνδρίζου καὶ ποίει μὴ φοβοῦ μηδὲ πτοηθῇς ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεός μου μετὰ σοῦ οὐκ ἀνήσει σε καὶ οὐ μή σε ἐγκαταλίπῃ ἕως τοῦ συντελέσαι σε πᾶσαν ἐργασίαν λειτουργίας οἴκου κυρίου 21 καὶ ἰδοὺ αἱ ἐφημερίαι τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν εἰς πᾶσαν λειτουργίαν οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ μετὰ σοῦ ἐν πάσῃ πραγματείᾳ καὶ πᾶς πρόθυμος ἐν σοφίᾳ κατὰ πᾶσαν τέχνην καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς εἰς πάντας τοὺς λόγους σου | 20 And David said to Solomon his son: Act like a man, and take courage, and do: fear not, and be not dismayed: for the Lord my God will be with you, and will not leave you, nor forsake you, till you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord. 21 Behold the courses of the priests and the Levites, for every ministry of the house of the Lord, stand by you, and are ready, and both the princes, and the people know how to execute all your commandments. | 20 Dixit quoque David Salomoni filio suo : Viriliter age, et confortare, et fac : ne timeas, et ne paveas : Dominus enim Deus meus tecum erit, et non dimittet te nec derelinquet, donec perficias omne opus ministerii domus Domini. 21 Ecce divisiones sacerdotum et Levitarum : in omne ministerium domus Domini assistunt tibi, et parati sunt, et noverunt tam principes quam populus facere omnia præcepta tua. |
