| 1 καὶ Δαυιδ πρεσβύτης καὶ πλήρης ἡμερῶν καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Σαλωμων τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἀντ' αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ Ισραηλ 2 καὶ συνήγαγεν τοὺς πάντας ἄρχοντας Ισραηλ καὶ τοὺς ἱερεῖς καὶ τοὺς Λευίτας 3 καὶ ἠριθμήθησαν οἱ Λευῖται ἀπὸ τριακονταετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν εἰς ἄνδρας τριάκοντα καὶ ὀκτὼ χιλιάδας 4 ἀπὸ τούτων ἐργοδιῶκται ἐπὶ τὰ ἔργα οἴκου κυρίου εἴκοσι τέσσαρες χιλιάδες καὶ γραμματεῖς καὶ κριταὶ ἑξακισχίλιοι 5 καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες πυλωροὶ καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες αἰνοῦντες τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν τοῖς ὀργάνοις οἷς ἐποίησεν τοῦ αἰνεῖν τῷ κυρίῳ 6 καὶ διεῖλεν αὐτοὺς Δαυιδ ἐφημερίας τοῖς υἱοῖς Λευι τῷ Γεδσων Κααθ Μεραρι 7 καὶ τῷ Παροσωμ τῷ Εδαν καὶ τῷ Σεμεϊ 8 υἱοὶ τῷ Εδαν ὁ ἄρχων Ιιηλ καὶ Ζεθομ καὶ Ιωηλ τρεῖς 9 υἱοὶ Σεμεϊ Σαλωμιθ καὶ Ιιηλ καὶ Αιδαν τρεῖς οὗτοι ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τῷ Εδαν 10 καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Σεμεϊ Ιεθ καὶ Ζιζα καὶ Ιωας καὶ Βερια οὗτοι υἱοὶ Σεμεϊ τέσσαρες 11 καὶ ἦν Ιεθ ὁ ἄρχων καὶ Ζιζα ὁ δεύτερος καὶ Ιωας καὶ Βερια οὐκ ἐπλήθυναν υἱοὺς καὶ ἐγένοντο εἰς οἶκον πατριᾶς εἰς ἐπίσκεψιν μίαν 12 υἱοὶ Κααθ Αμβραμ Ισσααρ Χεβρων Οζιηλ τέσσαρες 13 υἱοὶ Αμβραμ Ααρων καὶ Μωυσῆς καὶ διεστάλη Ααρων τοῦ ἁγιασθῆναι ἅγια ἁγίων αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ ἕως αἰῶνος τοῦ θυμιᾶν ἐναντίον τοῦ κυρίου λειτουργεῖν καὶ ἐπεύχεσθαι ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ ἕως αἰῶνος 14 καὶ Μωυσῆς ἄνθρωπος τοῦ θεοῦ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ ἐκλήθησαν εἰς φυλὴν τοῦ Λευι 15 υἱοὶ Μωυσῆ Γηρσαμ καὶ Ελιεζερ 16 υἱοὶ Γηρσαμ Σουβαηλ ὁ ἄρχων 17 καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ τῷ Ελιεζερ Ρααβια ὁ ἄρχων καὶ οὐκ ἦσαν τῷ Ελιεζερ υἱοὶ ἕτεροι καὶ υἱοὶ Ρααβια ηὐξήθησαν εἰς ὕψος 18 υἱοὶ Ισσααρ Σαλωμωθ ὁ ἄρχων 19 υἱοὶ Χεβρων Ιδουδ ὁ ἄρχων Αμαδια ὁ δεύτερος Οζιηλ ὁ τρίτος Ικεμιας ὁ τέταρτος 20 υἱοὶ Οζιηλ Μιχας ὁ ἄρχων καὶ Ισια ὁ δεύτερος 21 υἱοὶ Μεραρι Μοολι καὶ Μουσι υἱοὶ Μοολι Ελεαζαρ καὶ Κις 22 καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ελεαζαρ καὶ οὐκ ἦσαν αὐτῷ υἱοὶ ἀλλ' ἢ θυγατέρες καὶ ἔλαβον αὐτὰς υἱοὶ Κις ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν 23 υἱοὶ Μουσι Μοολι καὶ Εδερ καὶ Ιαριμωθ τρεῖς 24 οὗτοι υἱοὶ Λευι κατ' οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ τὴν ἐπίσκεψιν αὐτῶν κατὰ τὸν ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν ποιοῦντες τὰ ἔργα λειτουργίας οἴκου κυρίου ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω 25 ὅτι εἶπεν Δαυιδ κατέπαυσεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ καὶ κατεσκήνωσεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἕως αἰῶνος 26 καὶ οἱ Λευῖται οὐκ ἦσαν αἴροντες τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ τὰ πάντα σκεύη αὐτῆς εἰς τὴν λειτουργίαν αὐτῆς 27 ὅτι ἐν τοῖς λόγοις Δαυιδ τοῖς ἐσχάτοις ἐστὶν ὁ ἀριθμὸς υἱῶν Λευι ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω 28 ὅτι ἔστησεν αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ χεῖρα Ααρων τοῦ λειτουργεῖν ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου ἐπὶ τὰς αὐλὰς καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ παστοφόρια καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν καθαρισμὸν τῶν πάντων ἁγίων καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ἔργα λειτουργίας οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ 29 εἰς τοὺς ἄρτους τῆς προθέσεως εἰς τὴν σεμίδαλιν τῆς θυσίας καὶ εἰς τὰ λάγανα τὰ ἄζυμα καὶ εἰς τήγανον καὶ εἰς τὴν πεφυραμένην καὶ εἰς πᾶν μέτρον 30 καὶ τοῦ στῆναι πρωὶ τοῦ αἰνεῖν ἐξομολογεῖσθαι τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ οὕτως τὸ ἑσπέρας 31 καὶ ἐπὶ πάντων τῶν ἀναφερομένων ὁλοκαυτωμάτων τῷ κυρίῳ ἐν τοῖς σαββάτοις καὶ ἐν ταῖς νεομηνίαις καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἑορταῖς κατὰ ἀριθμὸν κατὰ τὴν κρίσιν ἐπ' αὐτοῖς διὰ παντὸς τῷ κυρίῳ 32 καὶ φυλάξουσιν τὰς φυλακὰς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ τὰς φυλακὰς υἱῶν Ααρων ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν τοῦ λειτουργεῖν ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου | 1 David being old and full of days, made Solomon his son king over Israel. 2 And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, and the priests and Levites. 3 And the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years, and upwards: and there were found of them thirty-eight thousand men. 4 Of these twenty-four thousand were chosen, and distributed unto the ministry of the house of the Lord: and six thousand were the overseers and judges. 5 Moreover four thousand were porters: and as many singers singing to the Lord with the instruments, which he had made to sing with. 6 And David distributed them into courses by the families of the sons of Levi, to wit, of Gerson, and of Caath, and of Merari. 7 The sons of Gerson were Leedan and Semei. 8 The sons of Leedan: the chief Jahiel, and Zethan, and Joel, three. 9 The sons of Semei: Salomith, and Hosiel, and Aran, three: these were the heads of the families of Leedan. 10 And the sons of Semei were Leheth, and Ziza, and Jaus, and Baria: these were the sons of Semei, four. 11 And Leheth was the first, Ziza the second: but Jaus and Baria had not many children, and therefore they were counted in one family, and in one house. 12 The sons of Caath were Amram, and Isaar, Hebron, and Oziel, four. 13 The sons of Amram, Aaron, and Moses. And Aaron was separated to minister in the holy of holies, he and his sons for ever, and to burn incense before the Lord, according to his ceremonies, and to bless his name for ever. 14 The sons also of Moses, the man of God, were numbered in the tribe of Levi. 15 The sons of Moses were Gersom and Eliezer: 16 The sons of Gersom: Subuel the first. 17 And the sons of Eliezer were: Rohobia the first: and Eliezer had no more sons. But the sons of Rohobia were multiplied exceedingly. 18 The sons of Isaar: Salomith the first. 19 The sons of Hebron: Jeriau the first, Amarias the second, Jahaziel the third, Jecmaam the fourth. 20 The sons of Oziel: Micha the first, Jesia the second. 21 The sons of Merari: Moholi, and Musi. The sons of Moholi: Eleazar and Cis. 22 And Eleazar died, and had no sons but daughters: and the sons of Cis their brethren took them. 23 The sons of Musi: Moholi, and Eder, and Jerimoth, three. 24 These are the sons of Levi in their kindreds and families, princes by their courses, and the number of every head that did the works of the ministry of the house of the Lord from twenty years old and upward. 25 For David said: The Lord the God of Israel has given rest to his people, and a habitation in Jerusalem for ever. 26 And it shall not be the office of the Levites to carry any more the tabernacle, and all the vessels for the service thereof. 27 So according to the last precepts of David, the sons of Levi are to be numbered from twenty years old and upward. 28 And they are to be under the hand of the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, in the porches, and in the chambers, and in the place of purification, and in the sanctuary, and in all the works of the ministry of the temple of the Lord. 29 And the priests have the charge of the loaves of proposition, and of the sacrifice of fine flour, and of the unleavened cakes, and of the frying pan, and of the roasting, and of every weight and measure. 30 And the Levites are to stand in the morning to give thanks, and to sing praises to the Lord: and in like manner in the evening, 31 as well in the oblation of the holocausts of the Lord, as in the sabbaths and in the new moons, and the rest of the solemnities, according to the number and ceremonies prescribed for everything, continually before the Lord. 32 And let them keep the observances of the tabernacle of the covenant, and the ceremonies of the sanctuary, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, that they may minister in the house of the Lord. | 1 Igitur David, senex et plenus dierum, regem constituit Salomonem filium suum super Israël. 2 Et congregavit omnes principes Israël, et sacerdotes atque Levitas. 3 Numeratique sunt Levitæ a triginta annis et supra: et inventa sunt triginta octo millia virorum. 4 Ex his electi sunt, et distributi in ministerium domus Domini, viginti quatuor millia : præpositorum autem et judicum, sex millia. 5 Porro quatuor millia janitores, et totidem psaltæ, canentes Domino in organis quæ fecerat ad canendum. 6 Et distribuit eos David per vices filiorum Levi, Gerson videlicet, et Caath, et Merari. 7 Filii Gerson : Leedan, et Semei. 8 Filii Leedan : princeps Jahiel, et Zethan, et Joël, tres. 9 Filii Semei : Salomith, et Hosiel, et Aran, tres : isti principes familiarum Leedan. 10 Porro filii Semei : Leheth, et Ziza, et Jaus, et Baria : isti filii Semei, quatuor. 11 Erat autem Leheth prior, Ziza secundus : porro Jaus et Baria non habuerunt plurimos filios, et idcirco in una familia, unaque domo computati sunt. 12 Filii Caath : Amram, et Isaar, Hebron, et Oziel, quatuor. 13 Filii Amram : Aaron et Moyses. Separatusque est Aaron ut ministraret in Sancto sanctorum, ipse et filii ejus in sempiternum, et adoleret incensum Domino secundum ritum suum, ac benediceret nomini ejus in perpetuum. 14 Moysi quoque hominis Dei filii annumerati sunt in tribu Levi. 15 Filii Moysi: Gersom et Eliezer. 16 Filii Gersom : Subuel primus. 17 Fuerunt autem filii Eliezer : Rohobia primus : et non erant Eliezer filii alii. Porro filii Rohobia multiplicati sunt nimis. 18 Filii Isaar : Salomith primus. 19 Filii Hebron : Jeriau primus, Amarias secundus, Jahaziel tertius, Jecmaam quartus. 20 Filii Oziel : Micha primus, Jesia secundus. 21 Filii Merari : Moholi, et Musi. Filii Moholi : Eleazar et Cis. 22 Mortuus est autem Eleazar, et non habuit filios, sed filias : acceperuntque eas filii Cis fratres earum. 23 Filii Musi : Moholi, et Eder, et Jerimoth, tres. 24 Hi filii Levi in cognationibus et familiis suis, principes per vices, et numerum capitum singulorum qui faciebant opera ministerii domus Domini, a viginti annis et supra. 25 Dixit enim David : Requiem dedit Dominus Deus Israël populo suo, et habitationem Jerusalem usque in æternum. 26 Nec erit officii Levitarum ut ultra portent tabernaculum et omnia vasa ejus ad ministrandum. 27 Juxta præcepta quoque David novissima, supputabitur numerus filiorum Levi a viginti annis et supra. 28 Et erunt sub manu filiorum Aaron in cultum domus Domini, in vestibulis, et in exedris, et in loco purificationis, et in sanctuario, et in universis operibus ministerii templi Domini. 29 Sacerdotes autem, super panes propositionis, et ad similæ sacrificium, et ad lagana azyma, et sartaginem, et ad torrendum, et super omne pondus atque mensuram. 30 Levitæ vero ut stent mane ad confitendum et canendum Domino: similiterque ad vesperam, 31 tam in oblatione holocaustorum Domini, quam in sabbatis et calendis et solemnitatibus reliquis juxta numerum et cæremonias uniuscujusque rei, jugiter coram Domino. 32 Et custodiant observationes tabernaculi fœderis, et ritum sanctuarii, et observationem filiorum Aaron fratrum suorum, ut ministrent in domo Domini. |
