| 2 εὐδόκησας κύριε τὴν γῆν σου ἀπέστρεψας τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν Ιακωβ 3 ἀφῆκας τὰς ἀνομίας τῷ λαῷ σου ἐκάλυψας πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν διάψαλμα 4 κατέπαυσας πᾶσαν τὴν ὀργήν σου ἀπέστρεψας ἀπὸ ὀργῆς θυμοῦ σου 5 ἐπίστρεψον ἡμᾶς ὁ θεὸς τῶν σωτηρίων ἡμῶν καὶ ἀπόστρεψον τὸν θυμόν σου ἀφ' ἡμῶν 6 μὴ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ὀργισθήσῃ ἡμῖν ἢ διατενεῖς τὴν ὀργήν σου ἀπὸ γενεᾶς εἰς γενεάν 7 ὁ θεός σὺ ἐπιστρέψας ζωώσεις ἡμᾶς καὶ ὁ λαός σου εὐφρανθήσεται ἐπὶ σοί 8 δεῖξον ἡμῖν κύριε τὸ ἔλεός σου καὶ τὸ σωτήριόν σου δῴης ἡμῖν 9 ἀκούσομαι τί λαλήσει ἐν ἐμοὶ κύριος ὁ θεός ὅτι λαλήσει εἰρήνην ἐπὶ τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ὁσίους αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἐπιστρέφοντας πρὸς αὐτὸν καρδίαν 10 πλὴν ἐγγὺς τῶν φοβουμένων αὐτὸν τὸ σωτήριον αὐτοῦ τοῦ κατασκηνῶσαι δόξαν ἐν τῇ γῇ ἡμῶν 11 ἔλεος καὶ ἀλήθεια συνήντησαν δικαιοσύνη καὶ εἰρήνη κατεφίλησαν 12 ἀλήθεια ἐκ τῆς γῆς ἀνέτειλεν καὶ δικαιοσύνη ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ διέκυψεν 13 καὶ γὰρ ὁ κύριος δώσει χρηστότητα καὶ ἡ γῆ ἡμῶν δώσει τὸν καρπὸν αὐτῆς 14 δικαιοσύνη ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ προπορεύσεται καὶ θήσει εἰς ὁδὸν τὰ διαβήματα αὐτοῦ | 2 Lord, you have blessed your land: you have turned away the captivity of Jacob. 3 You have forgiven the iniquity of your people: you have covered all their sins. 4 You have mitigated all your anger: you have turned away from the wrath of your indignation. 5 Convert us, O God our saviour: and turn off your anger from us. 6 Will you be angry with us for ever: or will you extend your wrath from generation to generation? 7 You will turn, O God, and bring us to life: and your people shall rejoice in you. 8 Show us, O Lord, your mercy; and grant us your salvation. 9 I will hear what the Lord God will speak in me: for he will speak peace unto his people: And unto his saints: and unto them that are converted to the heart. 10 Surely his salvation is near to them that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land. 11 Mercy and truth have met each other: justice and peace have kissed. 12 Truth is sprung out of the earth: and justice has looked down from heaven. 13 For the Lord will give goodness: and our earth shall yield her fruit. 14 Justice shall walk before him: and shall set his steps in the way. | 2 Benedixisti, Domine, terram tuam; avertisti captivitatem Jacob. 3 Remisisti iniquitatem plebis tuæ; operuisti omnia peccata eorum. 4 Mitigasti omnem iram tuam; avertisti ab ira indignationis tuæ. 5 Converte nos, Deus salutaris noster, et averte iram tuam a nobis. 6 Numquid in æternum irasceris nobis? aut extendes iram tuam a generatione in generationem? 7 Deus, tu conversus vivificabis nos, et plebs tua lætabitur in te. 8 Ostende nobis, Domine, misericordiam tuam, et salutare tuum da nobis. 9 Audiam quid loquatur in me Dominus Deus, quoniam loquetur pacem in plebem suam, et super sanctos suos, et in eos qui convertuntur ad cor. 10 Verumtamen prope timentes eum salutare ipsius, ut inhabitet gloria in terra nostra. 11 Misericordia et veritas obviaverunt sibi; justitia et pax osculatæ sunt. 12 Veritas de terra orta est, et justitia de cælo prospexit. 13 Etenim Dominus dabit benignitatem, et terra nostra dabit fructum suum. 14 Justitia ante eum ambulabit, et ponet in via gressus suos. |
